Cops hunting for burglary suspect in Sungai Buloh


PETALING JAYA: Police are looking for a burglary suspect who broke into a house in Bandar Puncak Alam, Sungai Buloh.

Sungai Buloh OCPD Supt Mohd Hafiz Muhammad Nor said police received a report on the incident on Saturday (Aug 29).

The house was broken into at 3.25pm on Friday (Aug 28) while the occupants were away.

"An inspection at the scene found signs of forced entry on the back door.

"CCTV footage showed an unidentified man wearing a white shirt in the area," Supt Hafiz said in a statement on Monday (Aug 31).

He said jewellery and cash were reported missing following the incident.

He added that the suspect’s identity had yet to be established and police were actively tracing him.

The case is being investigated under Section 457 of the Penal Code for housebreaking.
