A TRADITIONAL coffee shop that has been operating for more than 70 years continues to attract multiracial patrons who gather for breakfast, Kosmo! reported.
Kedai Kopi Ah Meng, located in Kampung Parit, Kuala Pilah, Negri Sembilan, was founded after the Second World War.
Fourth-generation owner Tan Dao Qin, 26, said he took over the business after completing his public relations degree at Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman to preserve his family’s legacy.
“The most interesting thing about this coffee shop is that Malays, Chinese and Indians can sit at the same table, chat and enjoy a meal together.
“That kind of atmosphere is becoming increasingly difficult to find.”
Tan said almost 90% of his customers are Malays, while the rest are Chinese and Indians.
Regular customer Mohd Zin Abdullah, 49, said the coffee shop has a unique appeal that has kept him coming back over the years.
“The food and coffee are really special. Apart from that, this place has become one of Kuala Pilah’s attractions because it brings together people from different backgrounds.”

Zizan said he remains focused on making Imran memorable, believing that bringing a character to life is more important than having top billing.
