Lorry crash: Shuttle Selatan, ETS services delayed on Kulai-Kempas route

JOHOR BARU: Shuttle Selatan and ETS services on the Kulai-Kempas route are experiencing delays following a power supply disruption caused by an incident involving a lorry carrying flammable liquid that crashed near the railway line Wednesday (Aug 5).

Keretapi Tanah Melayu Berhad (KTMB), in a Facebook post, said the disruption had affected train operations on the route, while cleaning works at the scene and repairs to the power supply were under way.

“For affected ETS passengers, shuttle buses will be provided at Kulai, Kempas Baru and JB Sentral stations.

“For now, Shuttle Selatan passengers are advised to use alternative transport. Fare differences will be given to affected passengers,” it said in the post.

As at 10.37pm Wednesday, KTMB said ETS9449 was delayed by 32 minutes, while ETS9533 was delayed by 55 minutes compared with the original schedule. However, train delays may change from time to time depending on operational conditions.

KTMB also apologised for the inconvenience and asked those requiring further assistance to contact station staff on duty. — Bernama
