MetMalaysia warns of thunderstorms in several states until 9pm (Sept 22)


PETALING JAYA: The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has warned of thunderstorms, heavy rain and strong winds in several states until 9pm on Tuesday (Sept 22).

In a statement at 5.10pm on Tuesday, MetMalaysia said the states affected are Perlis; Kedah (Kubang Pasu, Kota Setar, Pokok Sena, Padang Terap, Yan, Pendang, Kuala Muda, Sik, Baling and Kulim); Perak (Larut, Matang and Selama, Hulu Perak and Kuala Kangsar); Kelantan (Gua Musang); Terengganu (Hulu Terengganu, Dungun and Kemaman); Pahang (Cameron Highlands, Lipis, Jerantut, Kuantan, Pekan and Rompin) and Johor (Segamat, Mersing and Kota Tinggi).

It also warned of bad weather in Sabah affecting the Interior (Sipitang, Tenom, Pensiangan and Tambunan), Kudat, West Coast (Kota Belud, Ranau, Tuaran, Kota Kinabalu, Penampang and Papar), and Sandakan (Sandakan and Kinabatangan).
