KUALA LUMPUR: Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi (pic) has congratulated the Malaysian contingent of 59 athletes, including 22 para athletes on their excellent achievement at the recently-concluded Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, Scotland.
The Deputy Prime Minis-ter said their success in bringing home eight gold, three silver and five bronze medals exceeded the set target and that it was the country’s best achievement since 2010.
“Congratulations to all athletes, coaches, officials, support staff and everyone who worked hard to bring glory to Malaysia.
“Whether you won a medal or not, all Malaysians are proud of every sacrifice and effort displayed,” he posted on Facebook, Bernama reported.
