KUALA LUMPUR: Umno president Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi conveyed his condolences over the deaths of Maran Umno Youth chief Mohd Radzi Rahimi, his wife and brother-in-law in an accident in Bentong Monday (Aug 3).
He described Mohd Radzi's death as a huge loss to the Umno family, especially to Maran Umno and Pahang Umno Youth.
"My condolences to his entire family. No words can describe what they are going through.
"May Allah SWT give them the strength to face these tough times," he said in a Facebook post Monday.
Meanwhile, Pahang Umno chief Datuk Seri Wan Rosdy Wan Ismail said the late Mohd Radzi was a committed youth leader dedication to serving the people.
"It is with profound sadness that I received the news of the passing of the Maran Umno Youth chief, the late Mohd Radzi, better known as Edy Radzi, who returned to the mercy of Allah after a tree-fall incident in Bentong this afternoon," he said in a Facebook post Monday.
"On behalf of the Pahang Umno committee, I extend my deepest condolences to the families of the deceased. May they be granted strength, fortitude, and patience in facing this immensely difficult loss," he said.
Umno Youth chief Datuk Dr Muhammad Akmal Saleh also extended his condolences to Mohd Radzi's family.
"May Allah SWT forgive all his sins, accept all his good deeds, and grant him eternal rest," he said.
Mohd Radzi, 40; his wife and brother-in-law, along with a five-year-old boy were killed by a falling tree that crushed the vehicle they were in, while another boy, believed to be the twin of the deceased boy, was injured and taken to Bentong Hospital for further treatment. - Bernama
