PETALING JAYA: Umno secretary-general Datuk Seri Asyraf Wajdi Dusuki is hoping for a win for both Barisan Nasional and Perikatan Nasional in Negri Sembilan.
“May Allah grant victory to Barisan and Perikatan in Negri Sembilan,” he said in a brief Facebook post as polling is underway on Saturday (Aug 1).
Barisan chairman Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi had previously said that the cooperation between Barisan and Perikatan in the Negri Sembilan election was based on an understanding, rather than an agreement or formal pact.
He said the tactical arrangement, with Barisan contesting 25 seats and Perikatan 11, would give them the best chance of regaining control of Negri Sembilan.
