PORT DICKSON: Amanah and Bersatu Youth have called for swift action following the declassification of the Royal Commission of Inquiry (RCI) report into Lembaga Tabung Haji (TH), urging authorities to investigate and prosecute those responsible for alleged governance failures.
Amanah secretary-general Muhammad Faiz Fadzil said the report identified matters warranting further investigation.
“While some politicians attempt to divert attention by claiming the report does not explicitly disclose criminal elements, the RCI clearly states that several investment losses involving Tabung Haji subsidiaries require further investigation by the police and MACC,” he said in a statement.
Bersatu Youth information chief Harris Idaham Rashid also demanded immediate action, saying the report exposed systematic financial manipulation and governance failures within TH between 2014 and 2020.
Harris also pointed to the approval of staff bonuses of between two and 13 months’ salary despite severe liquidity constraints.
