IPOH: A 46-year-old woman and her two daughters were found dead in a house in Bandar Baru Tambun here on Thursday (July 30) night.
Ipoh OCPD Asst Comm Muhammad Najib Hamzah said they received information about the discovery of the three unconscious individuals at about 9.10pm.
He said investigations at the scene found the woman and her daughters, aged 11 and 12, dead inside a room in the house.
“Police also found a container believed to contain the remains of burnt charcoal in the room.
“Preliminary examinations by the police forensic team and a forensic medical specialist found no signs of injury or foul play on the victims’ bodies.
“The case has been classified as a Sudden Death Report (SDR),” he said in a statement on Friday (July 31).
ACP Muhammad Najib said investigations are ongoing to determine the cause of the incident, while post-mortem examinations would be conducted on Friday to assist in the investigation.
He also urged the public not to speculate or spread unverified information until investigations are completed.
