PETALING JAYA: A total of RM600,000 has been allocated to a village and school under the Madani Adopted Village and Adopted School initiatives.
The allocation, made under the Finance Ministry, was given to Kampung Ladang Subang and SJKT Bukit Darah, respectively.
"The initiative comprises RM500,000 for Kampung Ladang Subang and RM100,000 for SJKT Bukit Darah. The funding will be utilised to implement projects and improvements that directly address the needs of the local community and school.
"For Kampung Ladang Subang, the planned works include road resurfacing, upgrading and repairing the main drainage system, construction of the Madani Adopted Village landmark, landscaping improvements, repairs to the village perimeter fence, community clean-up programmes including solutions to local water-related issues, and the installation of solar street lighting.
"Meanwhile, the allocation for SJKT Bukit Darah will support infrastructure upgrades and improvements to provide a more conducive learning environment for students,” the initiative said in a statement on Friday (July 24).
The Madani Adopted Village and Adopted School initiatives are government programmes funded by the Finance Ministry, while the Malaysian Indian Transformation Unit (Mitra) serves as the coordinating agency to oversee implementation and ensure projects are carried out effectively and in accordance with their intended objectives.
