Port Klang AKPS officer threatened he will be shot

PETALING JAYA: A Border Control and Protection Agency (AKPS) officer carrying out official duties in Port Klang has been threatened that he will be shot.

Port Klang AKPS commander Deputy Comm Datuk Nik Ezanee Mohd Faisal said an individual working as a company agent at the port made the threat.

"A police report has been lodged at the Klang Selatan police headquarters and the case is now under investigation.

"Action will be taken under relevant criminal laws against anyone found to have committed an offence," he said in a statement on Tuesday (July 14).

DCP Nik Ezanee said that any threat, intimidation, harassment or attempt to obstruct public servants from carrying out their duties was a serious offence and would not be tolerated.

"AKPS remains committed to safeguarding the safety and welfare of its officers as they carry out their responsibility of enforcing the law and protecting the country's borders," he said.
