MetMalaysia: Thunderstorms, heavy rain in eight states, KL until 9pm


KUALA LUMPUR: Thunderstorms, heavy rain and strong winds are expected to hit eight states and Kuala Lumpur until 9pm Monday (July 6).

According to a warning issued by the Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) this evening, the states affected are Perak (Hulu Perak, Kuala Kangsar, Kinta, Kampar, Batang Padang and Mualim) and Kelantan (Jeli and Kuala Krai).

Similar conditions are also expected to hit Pahang (Cameron Highlands, Raub, Bentong and Rompin), Selangor (Sabak Bernam, Kuala Selangor, Hulu Selangor, Klang, Gombak, Petaling and Hulu Langat), Negeri Sembilan (Seremban and Jelebu) and Johor (Segamat, Kluang, Mersing, Kulai, Kota Tinggi and Johor Bahru).

In Sarawak, the affected areas are Sri Aman, Sibu (Sibu and Selangau), Kapit (Song), Bintulu (Tatau), Miri (Miri and Marudi) and Limbang.

In Sabah, the bad weather is expected to affect the Interior (Tenom, Beaufort and Tambunan), West Coast (Ranau), Tawau, Sandakan (Telupid, Kinabatangan, Beluran and Sandakan) and Kudat (Kota Marudu). — Bernama
