PETALING JAYA: LBS Bina Group Bhd executive chairman Tan Sri Ir Dr Lim Hock San has been conferred the prestigious Asean Lifetime Achievement Award 2026 – Visionary Business Leadership and Community Excellence at the Asean Outstanding Business Award 2026, held at Sunway Resort Hotel, Kuala Lumpur.

The award recognises distinguished business leaders whose lifelong contributions extend beyond corporate success to create meaningful social impact, foster regional cooperation and strengthen communities across Asean.

Widely regarded as one of Malaysia’s most respected property entrepreneurs, Lim has transformed LBS from a local construction company into a leading township developer with a diversified portfolio spanning residential, commercial, industrial, hospitality and retail.

Over the decades, his visionary leadership and unwavering commitment to nation building have played a significant role in delivering quality homes, creating sustainable townships and improving the lives of thousands of Malaysians.

The Asean Outstanding Business Award celebrates exemplary leaders whose influence has strengthened economic ties, encouraged social progress and contributed to shared prosperity within the region.

Lim’s dedication to responsible business practices, community development and long-term value creation reflects the very ideals championed by the award.

“This recognition is not a personal achievement alone, but a testament to the collective efforts of my colleagues, business partners, stakeholders and the communities who have supported us throughout the years,” said Lim.

“At LBS, we have always believed that development is more than constructing buildings; it is about creating opportunities, uplifting lives and fostering communities where people can thrive.

“I am grateful for the opportunity to contribute to Malaysia’s growth and to the broader Asean community.”

Under Lim’s stewardship, LBS has delivered more than 58,000 properties and established thriving communities that have positively impacted over 200,000 Malaysians.

Guided by its purpose of ‘Building Tomorrow Together’, the group continues to drive innovation, sustainability and customer-centric development while expanding into strategic growth sectors that support long-term value creation.

The Lifetime Achievement Award stands as a meaningful recognition of Lim’s enduring contribution to business, community and regional progress. It also reinforces LBS’ commitment to carrying forward his vision – building sustainable communities, creating long-term value and contributing meaningfully to Malaysia’s development and the broader Asean region.
