Thunderstorms, heavy rain expected in seven states until 3pm


PETALING JAYA: Thunderstorms, heavy rain and strong winds have been forecast in seven states until 3pm on Sunday (June 21).

In an advisory issued by the Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) at 11.30am today, thunderstorms are expected over the entire state of Perlis.

Also affected are Kedah (Langkawi, Kubang Pasu, Kota Setar, Pokok Sena, Padang Terap, Yan, Pendang, Kuala Muda, Kulim and Bandar Baharu), Penang (North Seberang Perai, Central Seberang Perai and South Seberang Perai) and Perak (Kerian and Larut, Matang and Selama).

Other areas are Negri Sembilan (Jempol), Johor (Segamat, Muar, Batu Pahat, Kluang, Pontian, Kulai and Johor Baru) and Sarawak: Kuching (Lundu), Sri Aman, Sarikei, Sibu, Mukah and Kapit (Song).
