Thunderstorm warning in seven states until noon


KUALA LUMPUR: The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has issued a warning for thunderstorms, heavy rain and strong winds in seven states as well as Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya until noon Wednesday (June 17).

In the warning issued at 9.10am, MetMalaysia said adverse weather conditions are expected across the whole of Selangor, Penang and Melaka, while in Pahang, only the Raub district is affected.

Similar conditions are forecast in Kedah involving Langkawi, Kulim and Bandar Baharu, as well as in Negri Sembilan covering Seremban, Port Dickson and Rembau.

Meanwhile, in Perak, the affected areas are Kerian, Larut, Matang and Selama, Kuala Kangsar, Manjung, Kinta, Perak Tengah, Kampar, Bagan Datuk, Hilir Perak, Batang Padang and Muallim. – Bernama
