KUALA LUMPUR: Petaling Jaya MP Lee Chean Chung (pic) has resigned as a member of PKR’s central leadership council.
Lee said in a statement on Facebook on Friday (June 12) that he remains a PKR member and would continue serving in the Dewan Rakyat until Parliament is dissolved.
Lee’s decision to quit the central committee comes after his access to MyKhas, a portal that manages parliamentary allocations, was removed.

He noted that he has been a party member for 18 years, eight of them as a member of its central leadership council.
In a lengthy statement, Lee reflected on his political journey, beginning as a research officer in the then opposition leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim's office from 2008 to 2011.
Recalling the party's early years, Lee said PKR leaders did not enjoy the resources and privileges available to some politicians today.

He said voters in Petaling Jaya were effectively "punished" on May 29 when his access to the MyKhas system was withdrawn, preventing his office from continuing constituency allocation matters and community programmes.
"I sought a reasonable explanation from the party over the matter but to date only a deputy secretary-general has issued a statement attributing the situation to political choices, while PKR has not provided an official explanation to me or my constituents.
Despite stepping down from his party post, Lee said he would continue serving as an MP in his capacity as an ordinary party member.
