Pak Azad slams cyber trolls

COMEDIAN Azad Jasmin has publicly called out individuals online who he believes have been cyberbullying his 13-year-old daughter, reported Kosmo!

Azad, better known as Pak Azad, said he was disappointed to learn that some online users had been harshly criticising his daughter Amarra Sofea Rose over her recent performances.

He said the criticism towards Amarra, who has been performing in the reality competition show Talk To My Manager, went beyond constructive criticism and was at times akin to public harassment.

Azad, who is also a radio host, said he could accept any criticism directed at him but could not tolerate abusive remarks aimed at his daughter.

“They claim their insults are advice, but it is bullying because it is done publicly.

“If you want to insult me, that’s fine. Don’t insult my 13-year-old daughter,” he said in a recent Instagram post.

In the same story, Azad also shared the profile pictures of users whom he accused of cyberbullying his daughter.

> A man’s passion for local fruits turned his once small fruit roadside stall into a proper business after nearly 20 years in the industry, reported Berita Harian.

Muhammad Halim Zainal Abidin, 46, said he entered the industry after completing his SPM examinations as he had been interested in selling local produce from a young age.

But his early years in business were far from easy as he was fined over 10 times while operating his small fruit stall without a valid trading licence in Kuala Lumpur.

Even after returning to his hometown in Slim River, Perak, he was frequently forced to relocate in search of a suitable place to sell his fruits.

“This is because most popular sites were already occupied by other traders or I learnt that the sites were unsuitable for business activities only after setting up my stall.

“Since many local fruits cannot be stored for too long, I often had to switch to another location to avoid major losses,” the father of two said.

Fortunately for Muhammad Halim, he was eventually able to obtain a valid trading licence from the local authority for a permanent trading lot in February last year.

Now operating at the Federal Agricultural Marketing Authority (Fama) Medan Agrobazaar Tol Lama Slim River, he expressed relief at having a stable business location and customers.

“Not only is the rental rate affordable, but the location too is very strategic,” he added.
