PETALING JAYA: The Terengganu Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) reaching its targets is proof of its commitment to ensuring integrity and anti-corruption values are held in the state, the MACC says.
MACC chief commissioner Datuk Seri Abdul Halim Aman held a meeting with the state branch and was briefed on operational performance and governance initiatives implemented there.
“This excellence must be maintained and continuously enhanced to ensure that anti-corruption initiatives and integrity empowerment can be implemented more effectively,” he said while chairing the Terengganu MACC Performance Meeting on Sunday.
In a statement on Sunday (June 7), MACC said Abdul Halim urged employee welfare to also be given attention and strengthened.
He noted that the good relationship between the police and the MACC must continue to be strengthened as both play an important role in enforcement efforts.
He also urged MACC personnel to intensify efforts to conduct talks and programs at primary and secondary schools to instil values in the younger generation.
