Job seekers encouraged to visit myStarJob Fair for diverse career options, says fair

GEORGE TOWN: Job seekers still searching for the right career opportunity are encouraged to visit the second day of the myStarJob Fair 2026, where hundreds of vacancies across a wide range of industries await.

Visitors can expect a diverse selection of career opportunities spanning sectors such as engineering, finance, information technology, human resources, manufacturing and business support services.

A key highlight of the second day will be an appearance by popular career influencer AuntyHR and E2 Workforce Consulting Sdn Bhd chief executive officer Victor Gan.

The duo will share insights during a talk titled "Red Flags in Employment Opportunities", aimed at helping job seekers identify potential warning signs when evaluating job offers and improving their interview skills.

The session will be held on the main stage from 3.30pm to 4pm.

Held at the Setia SPICE Convention Centre on June 6 and 7 from 11am to 6pm, the fair also features three dedicated job-matching sessions.

These cover Finance, Accounting, Administration, Human Resources and Support Services, Information Technology and Technology-related roles, as well as Engineering.

The event provides an ideal platform for fresh graduates, experienced professionals and career changers to connect directly with employers and explore new opportunities.

Another main highlight is a speed interview initiative that connects candidates directly with recruiters from various sectors.

Candidates will also have a chance to win prizes and gifts in the lucky draw sessions in the afternoon and at the end of the fair.

Among the attractive prizes are e-vouchers, smartwatches, a smart humidifier, a coffee maker and other electronic devices.

Among the companies looking for potential candidates are gold sponsor Becton Dickinson (BD), Great Eastern Life Assurance (Malaysia), Hong Leong Bank Berhad, Prudential Assurance Malaysia Berhad, Dexcom (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd and Eve Energy Malaysia Sdn Bhd.

There will also be an attractive offer by the fair's lifestyle partner on its latest car model.

Buyers can enjoy a special interest rate as low as 1.88% for selected models.

Beside latest car models, the company also has several job openings on offer.

Visitors can also take part in the career quest challenge, where visiting six booths to collect stamps and following the fair's official social media pages can win them prizes.
