Magnum advances player well-being initiatives


KUALA LUMPUR: Magnum Corporation Sdn Bhd has partnered with the Malaysian Mental Health Association (MMHA) to conduct nationwide sessions for employees on mental health awareness and early identification of problem gaming.

The initiative was held during its sixth annual Responsible Gaming Week themed “Balanced Play is the Right Way.”

Staff were trained to recognise warning signs and respond empathetically, helping to create a safer gaming environment.

“Maintaining our Level 3 Responsible Gaming recertification shows that we are serious about protecting our players and supporting our communities,” said Magnum Corporation Sdn Bhd chief executive officer Datuk Lawrence Lim Swee Lin.

“Our partnership with MMHA reinforces this commitment, demonstrating that responsible gaming is not just about compliance, it is about awareness, empathy and supporting the communities we serve and Magnum is committed to all three.”

Since 2021, Magnum has provided digital tools such as the Gaming Health Check and RG Calculator, helping players understand their gaming behaviour and make informed decisions. Magnum also maintains long-standing partnerships with the Gambling Rehab Centre (GRC) to support rehabilitation and recovery for individuals affected by excessive gaming.

Through RG Week, global certification and mental health collaborations, Magnum continues to lead responsible gaming in Malaysia, demonstrating that players’ well-being and community care are central to everything the company does.
