Teen drowns while swimming with friends in Sungai Langat


PETALING JAYA: A teenaged boy was found drowned after he and his friend went swimming in Sungai Langat, Hulu Langat.

When contacted, Selangor Fire and Rescue Department assistant director Ahmad Mukhlis said that the department were informed of the incident at around 2.57pm Wednesday (May 20).

“The victim’s friend also filed a police report stating that victim had drowned. It is believed that they had swum in the river when the currents swept the victim away.

“The body of the victim was found at 4.02pm around 2km away from the scene of the incident. The body has been handed over to the police for further investigation,” he said.
