Man to be charged with murder over fatal Jalan Ampang crash


KUALA LUMPUR: The man alleged to have caused a fatal crash that killed two people along Jalan Ampang will be charged with murder.

Kuala Lumpur Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department chief Asst Comm Mohd Zamzuri Mohd Isa confirmed the matter when contacted on Thursday (May 14).

“The suspect is scheduled to be charged under Section 302 of the Penal Code at the Kuala Lumpur Court at 9am tomorrow (May 15),” he said.

On May 2, a married couple, Doraisingam Arumugam and Menagah Arjunan, were killed after their motorcycle was struck from behind by a 24-year-old driver’s vehicle.

Both victims suffered severe head injuries and were pronounced dead at the scene.
