SUBANG JAYA: A motorcyclist has been killed aftr crashing into a car that was left in the emergency lane on the Elite Highway here.

Subang Jaya OCPD Asst Comm Wan Azlan Wan Mamat said they received a report on the accident at about 6.15am on Tuesday (May 12).

He said the deceased crashed his motorcycle into the rear of the car, which was parked in in the emergency lane after it is believed to have broken down.

"The motorcyclist, a 23-year-old local man, suffered severe head injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene," he said in a statement on Tuesday, reported Sinar Harian.

ACP Wan Azlan said police are still trying to trace the driver of the car.

He urged anyone with information and the owner or driver of the car to contact investigating officer Insp Mohamad Hamdan Jeramatin at 019-464 2222.

The case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
