Motorcyclist injured in three-vehicle crash along Jalan Kuching

KUALA LUMPUR: A three-vehicle accident along Jalan Kuching has led to a motorcyclist suffering injuries to her shoulder.

Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department chief Asst Comm Mohd Zamzuri Mohd Isa said the accident occurred on Tuesday (June 23) at around 6.40am near a slip road there.

The accident occurred after the motorcyclist was believed to have lost control of her vehicle before crashing into the back of a stationary car.

The crash also led to her motorcycle being flung, hitting another van in the process.

The motorcyclist, a 36-year-old local woman, suffered shoulder injuries and was taken to the Kuala Lumpur Hospital for further treatment.

She is currently undergoing an X-ray examination.

The other affected drivers were not injured, and have both lodged their respective police reports to assist investigations.

The case is currently being investigated under Section 43(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987, he said.
