Selfless driver helps to keep a school going

A SCHOOL van driver in Johor is receiving praise for working to keep SJK(T) Ladang Sembrong going, Malaysia Nanban reported.

The Tamil school in Layang-Layang recently lost six of its eight students after rumours spread that the school was about to close.

School van driver Gunasegaran Ponnusamy has been keeping the school going by his willingness to drive the students 15km one way to the school from Renggam.

This is despite issues with payments promised to him which have failed to fully materialise.

Gunasegaran said he will continue supporting efforts to increase the student numbers despite issues faced.

The 35-year-old lorry driver lived with his wife and their young daughter.

The man quickly locked the door and called his neighbours. They gave the man a beating and handed him over to the cops.

The man eventually confessed that he was having an affair.
