CHINESE singer Li Ronghao wanted to livestream himself going fishing as a way to interact with his fans but ended up dropping his phone into the water.

Li, who is from Anhui province, made a spontaneous decision to go fishing on April 21, Sin Chew Daily reported.

Apparently, he did not have the proper gear and had to prop up his phone using stones.

“Just setting up the phone took quite a bit of effort,” he was heard saying.

Video footage showed Li chatting with viewers as they teased him for not having caught anything. He gave a lighthearted response saying he once caught a tilapia there.

However, just as Li tried casting his line again, his phone tumbled into the water.

Internet users joked that it was the most visually immersive way to end a livestream.

> Malaysian singer Gary Chaw, who got divorced in 2022, is said to have a new girlfriend after he was spotted dining at a roadside stall in Taipei with a female companion, China Press reported.

The woman was seen frequently stealing glances at Chaw and fixing his hair and cap.

She was also photographed later entering a convenience store to buy drinks.

Internet users pointed out that her belly was protruding and speculated that she could be pregnant. Someone then drove Chaw and the woman back to the singer’s residence in Taipei’s Neihu district before driving off.

Later that day, Chaw took the woman to a veterinary clinic in his Ferrari, which reportedly cost TW$5mil (RM627,739).

They later returned to Chaw’s home and were not seen leaving again that night.

When asked about the woman’s identity and a possible pregnancy, Chaw’s manager kept mum.
