MetMalaysia warns of thunderstorms in five states until 7pm (April 23)


PETALING JAYA: The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has warned of thunderstorms, heavy rain and strong winds in five states until 7pm on Thursday (April 23).

In a statement at 4pm on Thursday, MetMalaysia said the states affected are Perak (Hulu Perak, Kuala Kangsar, Manjung, Kinta, Perak Tengah, Kampar and Batang Padang); Pahang (Cameron Highlands); and Johor (Kluang, Mersing, Kulai, Kota Tinggi and Johor Bahru).

It also warned of bad weather in Sabah affecting areas in the Interior (Beaufort, Nabawan and Tambunan); West Coast; Tawau; Sandakan (Tongod, Telupid and Beluran) and Kudat; as well as Sarawak, affecting Kuching (Bau and Lundu); Samarahan; Sri Aman; Sarikei (Pakan, Sarikei and Julau); Sibu (Kanowit and Selangau); Mukah (Dalat and Mukah); Kapit (Song); and Bintulu.
