Two held over shooting incident in Bangsar, pistol and fake gun seized


PETALING JAYA: Police have arrested two men and seized firearms following a shooting incident along Jalan Telawi in Bangsar.

Kuala Lumpur police chief Comm Fadil Marsus said police detained the suspects, aged 27 and 33, in Klang, Selangor at 11.45pm on Wednesday (April 22).

"We arrested two local men to assist in investigations. A pistol with one live round and a replica firearm were also seized," he said in a statement on Thursday (April 23).

He added that the first suspect has five offences on his criminal record, while the second suspect has 17.

"Both suspects have been remanded for seven days until Wednesday (April 29). The case is still under investigation," he said.

The arrests are part of ongoing investigations into a shooting incident reported in Bangsar on Wednesday.
