Cops probing claims that actor Ako Mustapha's son was bullied and beaten at school

PETALING JAYA: Police are investigating allegations that the child of actor Ako Mustapha was bullied at a Wangsa Maju school.

Wangsa Maju OCPD Asst Comm Annas Sulaiman said the case is being investigated under Section 323 of the Penal Code for voluntarily causing hurt.

"For the case involving the actor’s child, an investigation paper has been opened," he said when contacted on Thursday (April 23).

It was reported earlier that Ako Mustapha, whose real name is Muhaizad Ahmad Mustapha, alleged that his child, identified only as Mika, was bullied in an incident believed to have occurred on Tuesday (April 21).

In a post on social media platform Threads, the actor claimed the incident involved five students, comprising two seniors and three of his child’s classmates.

He said the incident only came to light after his 10-year-old child returned home from school and, after showering, showed bruises on his body.

The boy allegedly claimed he was beaten and punched, sustaining injuries, with shoe marks on parts of his body.

The actor said photos and videos of the injuries have been submitted to the class teacher, and that his child was referred to Hospital Kuala Lumpur after undergoing checks at a government clinic.
