Visit Malaysia 2026 Vaisakhi Fest boosts unity, tourism

PUTRAJAYA: Deputy Tourism, Arts and Culture Minister Chiew Choon Man said that the Visit Malaysia 2026 Vaisakhi Fest shows Malaysia’s multicultural identity and contributes to tourism growth.

“Tourism, Arts and Culture Ministry and Tourism Malaysia supported the event, which took place last Saturday at Lanai, Malaysia Tourism Centre, in Kuala Lumpur,” he said in a statement on Tuesday (April 21)

Chiew said Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim and Digital Minister Gobind Singh Deo attended the event.

He said Vaisakhi carried a message of unity.

“Cultural events such as Vaisakhi helped tourism by showing Malaysia’s multicultural heritage to foreign visitors. Tourists from China, India and Europe attended the event to experience Malaysia’s cultural celebrations, said Chiew.

He said the ministry and Tourism Malaysia would continue to support cultural events to support tourism, arts and culture. – Bernama
