Kota Baru court remands teacher over fatal accident involving Form One student


KOTA BARU: A 57-year-old teacher has been remanded to assist with investigations into an accident that killed a Form One student in front of a school surau.

According to Sinar Harian, the woman arrived at the court premises in a police truck at about 8.40am on Monday (April 13).

On Sunday (April 12), it was reported that 13-year-old Nur Fatimatul Hawa Mohd Azaudin died after being hit by a car while putting on her shoes in front of the SMK Tanjong Mas surau.

The victim died at the scene from severe injuries during the 1.30pm incident.

The case is expected to be investigated under the Road Transport Act 1987.
