Kelana Jaya LRT resumes normal operations after early morning disruption

PETALING JAYA: The Kelana Jaya LRT line, which experienced a service disruption earlier on Monday (April 13) morning, has resumed normal operations.

Rapid Rail Sdn Bhd said operations resumed at 7.21am with the completion of preliminary repairs.

The operator said the disruption, which occurred at 5.57am, was caused by a fault in the track system at the Universiti station.

It added that alternative train services were activated promptly to ensure passengers could continue their journeys.

Rapid Rail said its engineering team completed repair works by 7.10am and conducted tests on the system and track components to ensure safety standards were met.

It added that engineering and operations teams would continue to monitor services to ensure smooth journeys along the line.

As a precaution, auxiliary police and station personnel will also be at platforms to help manage passenger flow at affected stations, it said.

Passengers are advised to refer to Rapid KL’s social media channels for the latest operational updates.

Rapid Rail also apologised for the inconvenience caused and expressed appreciation to passengers for their patience and cooperation.
