Woman dies after crashing car into tree in Sibu


SIBU: A 46-year-old woman has been killed after the car she was driving crashed into a tree near Lanang 61, Jalan Lanang.

The Sarawak Fire and Rescue Department said they received an emergency call at 12.45am, on Sunday (April 12) and rushed to the scene.

Firefighters found the victim, Mohaya Kuting, trapped in the driver's seat.

The victim was removed from the vehicle but was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics.

Her body was later handed over to the police for further action.
