Seven cars destroyed in fire at Sungai Buloh driving school


 

PETALING JAYA: Seven cars were destroyed in a fire at a driving school along Jalan Kuang, Sungai Plong, Sungai Buloh on Saturday night (April 4).

The Selangor Fire and Rescue Department said it received a distress call at 7.45pm and dispatched a team from the Sungai Buloh fire station to the scene.

Selangor Fire and Rescue Department assistant director (Operations) Ahmad Mukhlis Mukhtar said firefighters arrived about 10 minutes later.

“Upon arrival, we found that the fire involved seven half-cut vehicles, which were about 95% burnt,” he said in a statement on Sunday (April 5).

He added that no casualties were reported and that the fire did not spread to nearby structures.

“Firefighting operations are still ongoing to fully extinguish the blaze,” he said.

A total of 12 personnel and two fire engines were deployed to the scene.
