Five states to experience thunderstorms, heavy rain until 4PM


KUALA LUMPUR: The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has issued a warning for thunderstorms, heavy rain, and strong winds impacting five states until 4pm on Sunday (April 5).

MetMalaysia, in a statement, said the affected areas in Pahang are Bentong and Rompin, while in Negri Sembilan, they include Jelebu and Kuala Pilah.

In Johor, the impacted areas are Tangkak, Muar, Mersing, and Kota Tinggi.

A similar weather warning has also been issued for Sarawak, involving Kuching (Bau and Kuching), Serian (Serian), Samarahan (Samarahan and Simunjan), Sri Aman (Sri Aman), Sarikei (Julau and Meradong), Sibu, Mukah, Kapit (Song, Kapit, and Bukit Mabong), and Bintulu (Tatau).

In Sabah, the areas expected to be affected are Tawau (Tawau and Lahad Datu) and Sandakan (Kinabatangan). – Bernama
