Man nabbed after ramming vehicles in KLIA chase

PETALING JAYA: A man with a long criminal record was arrested after ramming multiple vehicles while attempting to evade police at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA).

KLIA OCPD Asst Comm Ravi Munusamy said the incident occurred at about 4.30pm on Monday when a police mobile patrol vehicle attempted to stop a car for inspection.

“However, the driver refused to comply and sped off towards the Level 3 terminal route at KLIA.

“In an attempt to escape, the suspect rammed into five public vehicles along the road before he was eventually apprehended near the scene,” he said.

Checks revealed the suspect, a 30-year-old local man, has 31 prior criminal records and one outstanding drug-related offence.

“The suspect was brought to the Sepang Magistrate’s Court for a remand application,” he said.

On Monday, a video of the wild car chase went viral on social media.
