Temporary diversions on Kulai-Senai stretch of NSE from 10pm tonight for rock-blasting works

JOHOR BARU: PLUS Malaysia Bhd (PLUS) will conduct a second round of rock-blasting works on the Kulai-Senai northbound route on Monday and Tuesday (March 30 and 31).

The highway operator said the blasting is to allow the ongoing widening of the North-South Expressway (NSE).

"A temporary diversion will be in place from 10pm on Monday until 5am on Tuesday," it said in a statement.

It said the diversion will be from KM23.9 to KM26.1 (northbound) and KM24.7 to KM26.1 (southbound), for work preparations and clearance of both stretches.

The statement said a temporary restricted route will be implemented between 1am and 1:30am on Tuesday to ensure optimum safety during the rock blasting.

"The affected stretches will be reopened as soon as possible after the safety check is complete," it said, adding that more rock-blasting works would follow from time to time.

Motorists are advised to plan their journeys in advance, check the latest traffic information and obey the instructions given by on-site workers managing the traffic.
