ACTOR-SINGER Danny X-Factor has been struggling with symptoms of sciatica, leaving his left leg numb and in pain whenever he walks, Harian Metro reported.

Danny, whose real name is Mohd Kardanie Anwa, 46, said he had been dealing with the pain for a month, relying only on painkillers. However, it worsened on the first day of Hari Raya Aidilfitri while he was in Pasir Mas.

“On the second day of Raya, we returned to Kuala Lumpur. I took turns driving with my wife before going to a private medical centre. I was admitted the following day because my leg had gone numb and I couldn’t move. It’s sad because my wife and children couldn’t go visiting anywhere.

“For now, I have to rest for about a week,” he said, adding that this also meant he had to pause his part-time job as an e-hailing driver.

> A man rushing his wife to hospital to give birth received unexpected help from six motorcyclists, who acted as escorts through heavy traffic.

Muhamad Syafiq Abdullah, 25, from Ipoh, said the incident happened on the third day of Aidilfitri. He had just arrived at his in-laws’ house in Rembau when his wife Auni Balqis Mohd Izan, 24, suddenly said that she had gone into labour.

“I immediately drove back to take my wife to hospital in Seremban, but started to worry when I saw how congested the roads were,” he said.

The situation quickly changed when a motorcyclist began tailing his car before stepping in to help clear the way.

“I rolled down my window and shouted that my wife was in labour. Without hesitation, he helped clear a path for me. Five more riders joined and escorted me all the way to the hospital, covering about 30km in under 30 minutes,” Muhammad Syafiq said.
