NINE people from B40 families in Perak were the latest to undergo free cataract surgery thanks to the Perak Community Specialist Hospital (PCSH), Makkal Osai reported.

The operation was paid for by the PCSH Welfare Fund which provides subsidised medical care for patients from underprivileged backgrounds, said PCSH chief executive officer Nicholas Chan.

The not-for-profit community hospital has been caring for Perak residents for 120 years by providing affordable medical care.

> A man in Tamil Nadu, India, who kept messaging a woman on social media was beaten up by her husband, the daily also reported.
