Thunderstorms, strong winds expected in six states until 7pm, says MetMalaysia


PETALING JAYA: Thunderstorms, heavy rain and strong winds are expected in six states until 7pm Friday (March 20), says the Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia).

In a statement Friday, MetMalaysia said the areas affected in the Peninsula are Perak (Kerian, Larut, Matang and Selama, Hulu Perak, Kuala Kangsar, Kinta, Perak Tengah, Kampar, Hilir Perak, Batang Padang and Muallim), Kelantan (Jeli and Gua Musang), Pahang (Cameron Highlands, Lipis and Raub), and Selangor (Hulu Selangor).

In Sarawak, the areas affected are Betong, Sarikei, Sibu (Selangau) and Mukah (Tanjung Manis and Daro) while in Sabah, the Interior (Nabawan) and Tawau (Tawau) are expected to be affected.
