Storms expected in four states until 5pm


KUALA LUMPUR: The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has issued a warning for thunderstorms, heavy rain and strong winds in Penang, Perak, Pahang and Sarawak until 5pm Friday (March 20).

It said in a statement that the affected areas in Penang are North Seberang Prai, Central Seberang Prai and South Seberang Prai, while in Pahang, the areas involved are Cameron Highlands and Lipis.

The areas affected in Perak are Kerian, Larut, Matang and Selama, Kuala Kangsar, Manjung, Kinta, Perak Tengah, Kampar, Bagan Datuk, Hilir Perak and Batang Padang.

Meanwhile, in Sarawak, the affected divisions are Sri Aman, Betong (Pusa and Betong), Sarikei (Meradong), Sibu, Mukah (Daro, Matu, Dalat, and Mukah) and Kapit (Song and Kapit). – Bernama
