MetMalaysia warns of thunderstorms in several states until 9pm (March 19)


PETALING JAYA: The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has warned of thunderstorms, heavy rain and strong winds in several states until 9pm on Thursday (March 19).

In a statement at 5.55pm on Thursday, MetMalaysia said the states affected are Perak (Manjung, Kinta, Perak Tengah, Kampar, Bagan Datuk, Hilir Perak, Batang Padang and Muallim); Selangor (Hulu Selangor, Gombak, Petaling, Hulu Langat and Sepang); Federal Territories of Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya as well as Negri Sembilan (Jelebu and Seremban).

It also warned of bad weather in Sarawak affecting areas in Betong, Sarikei, Sibu (Sibu and Kanowit), Mukah (Tanjung Manis), Bintulu, Miri (Beluru, Telang Usan and Marudi) and Limbang.
