Driver loses control of car, crashes into eatery in Taiping

IPOH: Two men in their 50s were seriously injured after a car lost control and crashed into them at an eatery in Taman Kota Jaya in Taiping.

Perak Fire and Rescue Department Operations Division assistant director Sabarodzi Nor Ahmad said both victims suffered injuries to their heads, arms and legs after the incident on Tuesday (March 10) at about 10am.

"Both victims were pinned under the vehicle and have been rescued by members of the public.

"Both have been handed over to the Health Ministry personnel for the next course of action," he said in a statement.

Sabarodzi said the car, driven by an individual with disability, is believed to have lost control of the vehicle before the incident.

"The driver, 69, is unharmed," he said.
