Motorcyclist hurt after car crashes into him in Sepang

SEPANG: A motorcyclist suffered injuries after a car allegedly crashed into him while changing lanes.

Sepang OCPD Asst Comm Norhizam Bahaman said that police received a report on March 6 regarding a traffic accident involving a car and a motorcycle at Lingkaran Putrajaya.

"Upon reaching the scene, the car, driven by a student in his twenties, changed direction to the left to enter a slip road and collided with the right side of the motorcycle, which was approaching from behind on the left side of the car," he said in a statement on Saturday (March 7).

He added that the resulting crash injured the motorcyclist, who was in his thirties, and damaged both vehicles.

"The driver of the car lodged a police report at the Sepang police headquarters. Both the driver and the motorcyclist possess valid driving licences," he said.

He added that investigations were still ongoing.

A video of the accident was uploaded on social media, showing the car changing lanes suddenly before colliding with the motorcycle that was behind it.
