Croc spotted at Port Dickson beach

PORT DICKSON: Visitors to the Port Dickson Waterfront beach were startled by the sight of a large estuarine crocodile near the shoreline.

Negri Sembilan Wildlife and National Parks Department (Perhilitan) director Faizal Izham Pikri said the department is trying to determine the exact location of the sighting yesterday morning.

He said it is still unclear whether the crocodile is the same one previously seen in the area.

“If the crocodile is spotted, please inform Perhilitan or the authorities and do not provoke or disturb it. We will take the necessary follow-up action,” he said.

A 52-second video showing the crocodile near a rocky section of beach went viral on social media.
