Dr Wee: Freeze on solid grounds


PETALING JAYA: Investigations into any public-listed company must be rooted in strong and objective evidence, as a heavy-handed approach by the authorities could adversely affect stakeholders, especially ordinary shareholders, says Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong (pic).

The MCA president said ­freezing a public-listed company’s accounts without credible ­evidence could disrupt business operations and erode share­holders’ confidence.
