Labuan MMEA foils attempts to smuggle RM200,000 worth of alcoholic beverages


LABUAN: The Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency (MMEA) Labuan foiled an attempt to smuggle 540 cartons of contraband alcoholic beverages worth nearly RM200,000 from the duty-free island's waters on Monday night (Feb 16).

Labuan MMEA director Izwanhadi Idros said the seizure was made during a routine patrol under Ops Sejahtera 1/2022 and Ops Tiris 3.0.
