> Entrepreneur Datuk Seri Aliff Syukri Kamarzaman is eager to release a short film chronicling the struggles and defining moments of his life.
He said the seven-minute film, Abah Saya Jaga, is among his most meaningful projects, as it goes beyond entertainment to reveal a personal journey little known to the public.
“People see the glamorous side of Aliff Syukri, but they do not know my life story,” the 39-year-old told Berita Harian.
He added that the film centres on a dyslexic child raised by a divorced father who worked as a security guard.
Despite excelling at studies, Alff Syukri said the character was once ashamed of his father’s job, a reflection of his past behaviour.
“I revisited my own rudeness and immortalised the nobility of a father in this film,” he added.
The film, featuring actor Azhan Rani, is dedicated to Aliff Syukri’s late father and aims to inspire children to appreciate their parents regardless of their occupation.
Aliff Syukri added that if the short film performs well, he hopes to produce a full-length feature about his love story with his wife, Datin Seri Nur Shahida Mohd Rashid.
