TWO Mandopop superstars were spotted next to each other in ringside seats, watching the Australian Open semi-final between Carlos Alcaraz and Alexander Zverev in Melbourne on Friday, China Press reported.
King of Mandopop Jay Chou and God of Songs Eason Chan were seen seated together as the tennis players battled it out.
Photos of them together at the tennis tournament were circulated online. The two were reportedly seen enjoying a hotpot together the evening before.
Apparently, their friendship began with a chance meeting backstage at an awards ceremony.
Chou, 47, was said to have offered to write a song for Chan, 51, resulting in the song Elimination, which has since been regarded as a top-tier collaboration in the Mandopop scene.
> Two foreigners were criticised online after they were filmed playing tennis in a cemetery in Japan, China Press reported.
A user on social media platform X posted the video showing two Indonesian men playing tennis over a makeshift net tied to a bollard in front of a tombstone.
“I do not think I need to explain how disrespectful this is,” the X user wrote.
The video amassed more than a million views in just two days.
“Seeing our countrymen engage in such offensive behaviour makes me embarrassed. Please deal with them as you see fit,” one presumably Indonesian user wrote.
Others defended the men, saying that Indonesians from rural areas often do not have access to sport facilities and resort to playing in places like cemeteries.
