Hearing of Dr M's appeal to attend Batu Puteh RCI proceedings postponed

KUALA LUMPUR: The hearing of Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad's appeal against the High Court's decision dismissing his application for judicial review to allow him and his lawyer to appear in the proceedings of the Royal Commission of Inquiry (RCI) regarding the handling of the Batu Puteh, Middle Rocks, and South Ledge sovereignty issues has been postponed to another date.

His lawyer, Muhammad Rafique Rashid Ali, said the matter was originally scheduled for hearing on Monday (Jan 26) at the Court of Appeal, but the appellant applied for a postponement as the lead counsel, Zainur Zakaria, is recuperating from a recent endovascular aneurysm repair procedure.
